Great place for a wonderful ramen. Cash only vending machine to order from including beer in can or on tap. Will definitely be back.
View on GoogleThe ramen was not really to my taste, a bit greasy and salty... Very small restaurant with only counter seats available. The tables were not that clean, with leftover soup from those who sat before me. Broth was a bit too greasy while being too salty. Do not expect a Tonkotsu ramen flavour as it is less creamy.
View on GoogleSpur of the moment decision, we found Ramen Garon as we were strolling along Golden Gai. There is a bar upstairs but the ramen is downstairs through the small alley. As many ramen places, you choose at the machine, get a receipt and that is your order. Really simple and efficient system ! Really good ramen, taste was clean and bright, nothing greasy or too salty here (they do not use MSG which is refreshing). We both like our orders, there is not a lot of garnish but the price is reasonable. Service was both quick and impersonal, nothing negative, just very unassuming. If in Golden Gai, this is a great option for a quick quality ramen, early evening or late-night, when in a hurry to get somewhere else. Cool Golden Gai atmosphere inside. View on GoogleI had longed for nira-men (chive noodles). I thought it would be hot because it was Japanese ramen, but it was not, and the smell of oil was a little strong. The chives were tasty, but the noodles were so tangled up inside that I had a hard time eating them. Well, it was not as good as I had expected.
View on GoogleThis is one of the best ramen I had. The broth is not overly salty and the noodles have just the right firmness. Now, the place is small with roughly 8-10 seats only and you seat in a u shape overlooking the meal preparation. A place I would recommend.
