I felt so welcomed into this local izakaya! Owner and guests were fantastic, food was great, and so were the drinks. I know no Japanese and it was not an issue. I would recommend it to anyone and will make sure to return next time I'm in Tokyo.

The greatest izakaya experience. Got to talk to the regulars who were very nice, the food was great and reasonably priced, and the manager is so nice to talk to and welcoming

We stumbled upon the Positive Tavern and it was a great night. The host was welcoming, had good English, was a comedian who ran some gags to keep us entertained. The drinks and the food great. A group of regulars made it more entertaining, welcoming us and adding to the conversation. A must visit.

What an unforgettable experience. I went into this with tame expectations. Basically going through all these reviews, I agree fully so there's no point repeating a lot of what's already written here. All I can say is I wholly recommend coming here if you're visiting Tokyo. I've never had an experience as fun and friendly as this besides back home with my own group of friends. The owner is just an amazing person and really makes the drinking/dining experience fun and unforgettable. Food is pretty good, the mega drinks are huge, and this place doesn't break the bank at all. Here's a special secret from me to you. Order the mega Marcel highball ;)

Amazing place!!! The owner makes a great vibe in this place and laughs are assured!!! The food and drinks were also great! And great price! We had a great time and can’t wait to go back! Thanks for everything!!!!
