I guess we were lucky, but we didn’t have to wait for a free table. This café has excellent matcha, and of course the viral blooming tea and desserts are great too. To get to the café, you need to go up steep stairs. The café is smaller than it looks in photos, and because it has become popular on Instagram, it can get quite busy. I would have loved to come here for breakfast, but unfortunately they only open at 10:30.
View on GoogleVisited specifically for the blooming apple tea and was a little let down. When I arrived I had to wait in line next to the building. Because I was only one person I was actually able to bypass a few couples that were in front of me as a solo seat opened up. FYI the staircase up is pretty steep and narrow. The blooming apple tea is an earl gray. When you pour the tea over the apple slices, they unfurl into a flower. The first sip was the best with a pleasant apple flavor. As time went on, the apple flavor grew much more subtle and wasn't to my taste as I prefer a stronger tea. I don't recommend eating the apple slices as by the time you do, all the flavor has already been removed by the tea and they are soggy and tasteless. I noticed everyone around me had ordered coffee, which seemed to be the better and tastier selection.
View on GoogleA great cafe situated in a quiet alleyway off the main road. The Basque Brûlée Cheesecake is extremely creamy with a lovely brûlée crunch. The hot Cafe Latte was also very well done. Medium roast and very balanced. Milk chocolate with a hint of nuttiness. The atmosphere and service were also great.
View on GooglePopular spot for its apple rose tea. Nice little interactive piece to pour the tea into the apple which makes it blossom like a rose. This place was relatively empty when we arrived, but filled up quickly to the point where people were waiting for seating. The ladies working here were also very kind and pleasant. The Oreo croffle was also delicious!
View on GoogleIt’s a small cafe but packed with people even on the weekday afternoon. Apple rose tea is the signature of this cafe that everybody has to get. I had to admit it was cool looking but the flavor was a bit too strong more like bitter. We also got a cheese cake and a raspberry croffle. Cheese cake was decent but the croffle was amazing. The croffle was crunchy filled with raspberry sauce inside and topped with whipped cream and raspberry. The raspberry sauce was not so sweet and went well with the croffle. The store is located on the second floor. The only way to get in is stairways. They are pretty steep. It was quite difficult for us to get up and down carrying a baby. Plus we had to leave our stroller on a side road.
