Came here after a night check in to my Airbnb lodging in the same building. There is no English menu but I had looked up this restaurant ahead and saw some other reviews and recommendations by others. Ordered an omakase sashimi on recommendation of restaurant owner. Everything in it was delicious and fresh. Sweet scallops, very nice squid, tuna.. etc . Fresh shiso leaves and very good Japanese pickles that came with my rice. He was very friendly, kind and asked about our travel plans. I also ordered a croquette. Very delicious and creamy, and portion was huge with 2 croquettes in one serve. Miso soup was also served and lots of vegetables inside which was much appreciated. I am just hungry again now writing this review and would have definitely returned if I’m staying here for more than 1 night.
View on GoogleThe food here was fantastic and the staff were brilliant at helping us with the menu and giving recommendations. We were in Japan for a month and this was one of our best dinners.
View on GoogleIncredible! We've been in Japan for 20 days and have eaten all kinds of local cuisine, but this place is amazing. The service is unbeatable and the food is delicious.

View on GoogleIt's always delicious. I stop by at night when I come to Josiidai before heading home. The beer comes in a chilled tumbler so it stays cold the whole time. Wonderful. The food is also delicious and the portions are generous. It's an izakaya, but it's calm, spacious, and relaxing. It feels like a good place to bring children too.
