Great food with amazing atmosphere!! The menu is fun and cat themed which is puuurfect. Plus the people working there are very friendly and there is an English menu aswell which is nice. It is also very affordable, but it is CASH ONLY. I recommend the salted mackerel, it was grilled to perfection.

Beautiful little Japanese restaurant that was really close to our hostel. We both had the chicken Katsu set meal with grape and green apple sours and between us only spent around $45!! It was super delicious and incredibly authentic with really lovely staff who could work out what you wanted to order in English.

simply wonderful and amazing dining experience here! hidden gem i would call it and it’s definitely one of the best supper spots around. the nekozen croquette was so good that i had to order it twice. i also ordered a plate of gyoza and the auntie was so kind and thoughtful to show us how to mix the condiments for the dipping sauce. everything perfect with a huge bowl of rice and miso soup. not to forget, the two types of plum wine i ordered. all i can say is that everyone that served us, as well as the food and drinks made our day! would love to come back here to dine again!

A great place to get your 定食(Japanese set meal) fix. Plus it’s super cute with lots of cat stuff all over the inside. The menu is varied so there should be something that catches your eye. I went with the しょうが焼き (ginger pork) and it was delicious. So was the potato salad. And the lemon sour was quite good as well. The ambiance is great and so is the service. It’s a must go.

Super cute cat themed restaurant with a simple menu that is extremely well executed, and they come in large portions for a very good price. The serving staff were friendly and welcoming. The real treat is the late hours it opens till, often the last stop for drinkers stumbling out of Golden Gai and a perfect place to finish the night.
