A hidden gem! The guide was incredibly friendly, and they provide free audio guides. To my surprise, they even had a Korean audio guide, which allowed me to fully enjoy the Natsume Soseki Museum. Plus, you get a small discount if you visit the café after your tour.

Excellent museum where I learned much more about Sōseki, his life and his work. Friendly staff, great exhibits, and lovely grounds. Highly recommended!

went here as was en route to Kusama museum and walked past. We had no idea who the author was and initially just had cake and coffee. It is a brilliant little museum, with a very good ( one of the best ive come across in six weeks in japan) narration in English that explains the authors life and work. Lovely cafe, good coffee, nice book area where you can rest up if you’ve been busy and great displays. thoroughly recommend, even if, like us you knew nothing about him before hand!

While out and about, we followed a random sign to the Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum. The museum itself is beautiful, so much natural light and surrounding green space. The exhibit is informative, though somewhat dull. In addition, my wife was disappointed that there were no actual cats in the museum space; she thinks it would be an appropriate, thematic addition. Cafe Soseki serves a solid blended coffee.
