Got some Japanese sweets here - a red bean filling Taiyaki and ice cream+red bean Monaka (wafer sandwiching filling) The Taiyaki was good. Thin crust and generous filling of red bean paste. The Monaka was decent but nothing to write home about. One of the staff at the shop appears to have a certain disdain for foreigners. As I couldn't speak Japanese, I had some trouble conveying my order. The staff frowned upon me and tossed his spatula aside to prepare my order. **(I patronized the shop twice on the same day, the 2nd time around getting my Taiyaki. This time around, I was greeted and attended by a different, far more polite staff)
View on GoogleThe fillings here are so rich!!! The crust is crispy. A bit pricier than other taiyaki shops, but it's great quality. 🤤Taste review: The premium Madagascar vanilla custard is definitely premium, perhaps being some of the creamiest, most flavorful vanilla custard I've had in a taiyaki. As for the sweet potato, many taiyaki shops do an "imo-an," which is sweet potato mixed with white bean paste; but here it seemed like pure sweet potato! Pure, sweet, rich sweet potato! 📖Menu options: 🐟🍰Taiyaki: anko (sweet red bean paste), sweet potato, premium Madagascar vanilla custard. 🍪🍦Monaka (wafer sandwich): vanilla or matcha ice cream, both with or without anko.
View on GoogleMy go-to spot for a quick snack before class. I love the custard taiyaki and the red bean. It's hot when you order and you can even have it for take out, it would come in a cute taiyaki shaped bag.
View on GoogleI bought this on kind of a whim since the light had just turned red and it did NOT disappoint! This is the crispiest Taiyaki I’ve eaten in a long time. Just amazing!
View on GoogleLoved it. I love red bean anything and a friend specifically brought me here late Monday night and for me they were amazing. I keep walking dawn there to have 1 or 2 each day until I leave Japan this weekend. Simple street food. Nothing fancy. A piece of real Local food.... yummmmmm
