A true gem. One of a kind. Cheap but high quality alcohol. The woman who owns the place spins great jazz records and serves drinks with a smile. Cash only! A little hard to find, it’s up on the second floor of a building on a busy street, but when you enter the door you walk into a portal of great music and booze. If you don’t like cigarette smoke, stay away from this place. Could’ve sat here for hours!

Kickass negroni, beautiful jazz vinyl selection, charming old lady behind the bar. Loved how you get to soak in every moment, even in the quiet anticipation when everyone holds their breathe when the vinyls are being changed, and just being immersed in the music. It was my highlight of Tokyo in one night.

A small, charming shop. The owner is incredibly sweet and friendly. The drinks are delicious. Please be patient if there's a slight wait; the lady is a bit older, but everything is still perfect.

Narushisu' in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku is a bar you would not want to leave once you've found it. Small, cosy and welcoming, the owner gets you comfortable from the moment you've taken a seat. She has a considerable jazz LP collection, which she continuously selects from and plays on the bar's powerful vintage system. Recommended.
