We got here randomly, and we were absolutely impressed by the quality and speciality of the food prepared here... So happy we find it. If you like bbq innards this is the place for you.

After finding many restaurants in the area to be completely full, I came to Motsuyaki Captain where there was a medium-sized crowd but still space to sit. For someone like me with passable but not great Japanese, the staff were very helpful. The kushiyaki and yakitori were excellent, I highly recommend the hatsumoto. There was a good atmosphere, a nice buzz but not too loud, you could hear others talk easily. I would come here again.

Good music, very nice waiters, fun atmosphere, cool space, insanely good food. Nothing more to say but I promise it’s amazing. Just make sure you reserve cause it gets full.

If you are in Shinjuku and want that bar izakya experience with fun atmosphere, this place is great. No English menus so be prepared to speak Japanese or have google translate handy. The waiters are very helpful and nice. The draft beer is satisfying and the Yakitori is awesome! So juicy! They play great music. This American gives this place two thumbs up. 乾杯
