A must visit place each time we visit Tokyo. A tradition for the past 20 years. Unique way of serving udon in sukiyaki style. The soup broth is just amazing as we slurp each udon in gastronomic delight. Simple yet soulful food with deep flavors.

You can enjoy delicious udon suki, from the meat and vegetables to the udon itself. We had the udon suki course this time, but the sukiyaki course also looked very delicious. The interior is clean, the service is good, and you can take your time over your meal.

I visited at lunchtime on Sunday. I arrived about 10 minutes after opening, but more than half the seats were already occupied. There were also semi-private rooms, but you might want to book in advance if you’d like to use one. I had udon with yuba and added a rice set. The refined dashi flavor came through nicely and matched the yuba and chicken very well. It was also sprinkled with yuzu peel, whose refreshing aroma whetted my appetite, and it was very delicious. The seating is fairly spacious, but there are no partitions, so you can hear everything from the neighboring seats. As a result, if you’re seated beside loud people or people with children, you need to be mindful of avoiding stress. Sukiyaki and the like are beyond my budget, but individual udon and soba dishes are reasonably priced, so I’d like to visit again if I get the chance.
