For that intimate Japanese izakaya experience. Service was great as was the food. Waitress speaks English and served us really well.
View on GoogleI visited やきとりまるぴん in Nishi-Shinjuku for the first time in a while. The atmosphere inside has hardly changed, and it is a space where you can enjoy a relaxed meal. There are many regulars, and it seems lively every day. The yakitori is grilled over Kishu binchotan charcoal, and everything is consistently delicious. The sasami in particular was served slightly rare with wasabi on top, and I enjoyed its moist texture and refreshing flavor. The other skewers and individual dishes such as horse sashimi were delicious too, and I felt the overall menu was well balanced. There is also a wide selection of drinks to enjoy properly with your meal. I think this is a perfect place when you want delicious yakitori.
View on GoogleShinjuku【まるぴん】 3 minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station’s west exit🚶♂️ An izakaya on the 2nd floor of a building🏮 They open at 15:00, so I recommend it for daytime drinks😉 And above all... Super super super recommended for drinking alone👀✨ You can order yakitori and yakiton from just 1 skewer, and dishes can be changed to half portions💪💓 ※Solo customers only The staff are very kind, and the highballs are super strong! Love that〜 There are 8 counter seats and 3 tables, but it can fill up depending on the time, so booking ahead is wise even when alone🙆♀️ Washing down the delicious fat from a harami skewer with a strong highball is pure happiness〜😖🍺 Highly recommended👌
View on GoogleI went for drinks on a weekday evening at まるぴん, a popular yakitori and yakiton restaurant in Nishi-Shinjuku. When I arrived at half past 6, there were 2 groups of customers. I first ordered bottled beer and assorted pickles, then added grilled dishes. They serve both yakitori and yakiton, but personally I preferred the yakiton. My favorites were the cartilage, tongue, liver, and tsukune. The ingredients and grilling were just right, and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable too.
View on GoogleThe liver and sasami were delicious! The liver had a firm, bouncy texture. Super fresh. The sasami was juicy and tender. So delicious! The tomatoes were sweet. The staff were friendly, which made it pleasant. ・Order Liver Sasami Gizzard Tomato Mandatory appetizer
