A bento shop specialising in yakiniku bento. About a 7-minute walk from JR Ichigaya Station, or very close to exit 5 of Tokyo Metro Ichigaya Station. Not dirt-cheap, but the yakiniku bento is relatively affordable. Displayed bento can be bought immediately, and other items on the menu can be ordered freshly made with a 5〜10-minute wait. They also have karaage bento, fish nori bento, and more. Kimchi, kkakdugi, and similar items are sold too. I bought the カルホル弁当 for 850円. Thinly sliced karubi that really says beef belly! Plus a fairly generous helping of offal. It has a charcoal-like flavour and a delicious sauce. The offal has no unpleasant smell at all. The standard rice portion is generous.
View on GoogleA very welcome shop where you can get inexpensive, delicious bento to take away. Recommended when you're in the mood for a meat-based bento. If ordering several bento, reserving by phone is recommended. There is no eat-in space.
View on GoogleRecently I'd often been buying the yakiniku bento because it was so delicious, but I haven't bought any since getting an upset, heavy stomach—perhaps some staff use too much oil when grilling. The menu has also become much smaller than before, which felt disappointing!
View on GoogleWhat used to be a bento shop run by a lady in Kinshicho has been boosted by the investment and development of a restaurant operating company and brought to Ichigaya. Trusting reports that it was delicious in its Kinshicho days, I bought dinner. I wanted kimbap, but it was sold out, so I went with 丸玄スープ and cold noodles. The cold noodles were, how should I put it, not great. But the 丸玄スープ was mildly spicy with plenty of glass noodles, delicious enough to want again. My partner, who had the daily rice bowl, said it tasted good for the price.
View on GoogleI had the 上カルビ・カルホル bento and a separate order of harami. Most bento are under 1000円 and taste good, so I recommend it.
