I heard from an acquaintance that there's a popular cured ham shop in Kagurazaka, so I went to check it out. At first I was a little worried I'd be lost about which to pick since there were so many kinds of cured ham, but the kind staff told me about the flavor of each and their recommendations, so I could choose in a relaxed way. The most delicious was "Kintoa", a premium black pig from the Basque region of France. With every bite, a rich flavor spread through my mouth, the kind of taste that makes you go "Now this is cured ham!" Besides the cured ham, the cured ham and cheese quiche and the grape chocolates with the aroma of noble rot wine were also amazingly delicious. They also have a full selection of wine, coffee, tea, and other soft drinks, so whether you're alone or with others, you can have a delicious, fun time. I once had a bad experience at a sell-by-weight cured ham shop on Kagurazaka's main street: not tasty yet overpriced, and the service was terrible, so I was a bit uneasy, but this place was very delicious and the staff were super kind, so I was more than satisfied, beyond my expectations. When I run out of the noble rot wine grape chocolates I bought as a souvenir, I'll go back to buy more along with some cured ham♪
View on GoogleAt 『maison T』 in Kagurazaka I got some cured ham to go with my year-end wine🤩🤩🤩 The cured ham from Kintoa pigs raised in France's🇫🇷 Basque region is high quality, fragrant, and moist, and goes great with wine‼︎‼︎ It was super delicious😆 The salami and chorizo were great too👍👍👍 It looked like you could have wine in the shop and the quiche looked tasty too, but I'm saving that for next time.

View on GoogleVisited around noon on a Saturday. When you step inside, there are tons of whole cured ham legs and whole salamis hanging, which is quite a sight. The display case has charcuterie platters, sandwiches, quiche, prunes, and more. Apparently you can also eat in. Around the display case there are also a few French sweets like pain d'épices, nougat, chocolates, and candies, giving it an exotic feel. I bought the charcuterie platter (¥1836). I could pay by credit card. I had it at home sandwiched in bread (forgot to take a photo… it had 2 kinds of cured ham, 2 kinds of salami, ham, pâté de campagne, olives, dried figs, and so on.) It was fun to taste a variety of salami, cured ham, and pâté, and it was all superb! I'll be back.
View on GoogleI ordered the cured ham plate. Last time, when I bought it at year-end, the ham was just laid on the plate in long slices as is, a bit different from the impression in the photo, and honestly a little hard to eat…. The time before that, they neatly cut it into bite-size pieces and arranged it, so I felt "there's a real point to buying the platter," and I was very satisfied. Today too they carefully cut and arranged it, and I was satisfied. I think just the way it's cut makes a big difference in satisfaction, so I'd be happy if you could keep it consistent. I like the shop itself and I'm rooting for it, so keep up the good work♡
