Came here for a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere in Kagurazaka and had the best micro experience. It was around closing time so we could only do a short stint - would love to have been able to stay longer (AKA I will be back here for dinner next time). Met the lovely Richard who turned the nightcap into an interesting storytelling session. We also met Mr Mario a cute little dog that a chap outside who was finishing up a drink has brought by. It really seemed like the cool place to be. The downstairs bar is intimate with the main bar itself occupying most of the space, with seats and tables lining the walls. The bar reminds me of the old wooden floor-to-ceiling antiques you'd find in the old pubs as you walk through Sydney's sandstone streets that run along the waterway. Exploring upstairs, after climbing the super tight stairwell, opens up into an expansive maritime-themed private dining area replete with nautical accoutrements: wooden sailboats with canvas sails, globe maps, and interesting artwork. And did I spy fishing nets and a sextant? You tell me! This is ideal for a small party. Looking forward to returning here to say hello again to Richard and partake of dinner. Who knows, maybe even Mr Mario will make an appearance?

The owner/chef was very nice. Very warm atmosphere and the foods were very good too. The owner is from Southern France. So very typical Southern France/Northern Italy cuisine.

A lovely evening and dinner. Richard was an excellent host - making us feel more like we'd been invited round for dinner than in a restaurant. Must try!
