Come here for your special matcha run in Tokyo! I had been pretty disappointed with the quality of all the trending matcha cafes in Tokyo, however Lambert was an exception. We arrived right as they opened—we didn’t have a reservation but were kindly offered takeaway. The owner took the time to ask us where we were visiting from and gave us a list of his personal recommendations of Tokyo. He was so kind and friendly, he made the experience even better. The matcha was smooth, sweet, and full of umami. I appreciated they ask if we wanted sugar, many matcha places in Tokyo I’ve had to insist on no sweetness. We were able to sit outside in their garden and enjoy our matcha, the garden is a zen sanctuary in the middle of Tokyo. Would love to come back here with a reservation!
View on GoogleVisited Lambert for the first time without a reservation and my experience was superb. I did try to make on through their site 2 weeks prior to my visit, but they do run out quickly. I went there at 4 PM hoping to grab something to go and just leave. The cue was very short, they took my order almost immediately after my arrival. Had a pleasant conversation with the staff for a couple of minutes, they explained the concept and made a great recommendation. Their matcha latte was amazing. I’m still regretting not having a second drink and trying their espresso matcha or their stunning suika drink (but you know, it was already a bit late). The shop is beautiful, combining elements from the original house and adapting to a more modern look by integrating different plant choices. As a first timer here, I couldn’t have enough. If you are lucky enough to find some of their tins available, I wouldn’t miss the chance of taking one home. Enjoy Lambert!!
View on GoogleIve visited 4 times and have tried Suika matcha, Ice Matcha Latte, Hot Matcha Latte and Hot Americano. My Favorite is still Suika Matcha since it has refreshing taste with natural sweetness from watermelon balance by the slight bitterness from the matcha itself. The service is excellent. The Owner is very welcoming and speaking english. He makes the effort to engange to all the customers and ask their feedback. He even took his time to explain the difference types of matcha they are used in each menu when i asked about them. The owner also made my drinks which made my experience feeel even more speciall
View on GoogleCame here for the first time with my girls. Loved the surroundings, it’s a very serene place to enjoy your matcha. Unfortunately we couldn’t sit inside as you have to reserve seats in advance. Bought matcha latte which was excellent, and chai latte. In addition we also bought matcha powders.
View on GoogleHands down, my favorite matcha spot in Tokyo. 🍵🌿 Beautiful garden, exceptional service, and—to my surprise—the matcha was absolutely amazing. It was perfectly balanced: rich, smooth, and incredibly satisfying. I didn’t have a reservation, but I was able to order a matcha latte to go and enjoy it in the garden. It was such a peaceful, serene experience. One of the staff members greeted every guest warmly and even stood by the gate to bid everyone farewell as they left. That level of hospitality made the visit even more memorable. I walked 30 minutes under the summer sun from Shinjuku just to come here, and it was 100% worth it. I’d happily do it again. I wish there were more reservation slots available, but I completely understand why they’re so limited. Even as a walk-in, this experience was far more special than any other matcha place I’ve visited in Tokyo—and I’ve been to almost all of the popular ones, including those in Ginza. This is not only much a latte. I felt like getting a 2nd cup for! For me, nothing else comes close.
