This is a small museum located in the heart of Tokyo’s Koreatown. Admission was 500 yen, which I felt was a little expensive considering the size of the museum. The staff also handed me a flyer asking for donations. Obviously, the museum needs financial support. I visited on October 1st, 2026. There was a special exhibition on Kwon Jeong-saeng, a renowned Korean children's book author. As for the permanent exhibition, I read materials about the massacre of Koreans following the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. Although there were only a few exhibits, the museum made a serious effort to inform visitors about dark chapters of history, including the massacres that occurred in the aftermath of the earthquake. Despite its small size, I found the museum informative and thought-provoking. I give this museum five stars.

There are only Japanese-language materials and exhibits, so it might be difficult for Koreans. It mainly displays materials on Japan's forced labor of Koreans, and you can also try on traditional Korean hanbok. There are also a few mother-of-pearl cabinets and old items. The hanbok are pretty old-fashioned designs, so they might look a bit tacky. It felt like it's run by left-leaning Japanese grandpas and grandmas as volunteers.

First of all, the admission fee is expensive given the floor space, number of exhibits, and so on. 500 yen per person However, if you go in with your views on history, ideology, interests, etc. so far in mind, it might be worth it once.
