Trusting reviews that said this place is the closest to the authentic taste in Shin-Okubo, I tried takkanmari for the first time in Japan. The result: very satisfied. The amount of chicken is smaller than in its home country, but since there were two of us, that actually helped. We enjoyed it all the way to the kalguksu finish and drank up all the soup. On top of that, the service was wonderful in a way you can't experience in its home country. I felt the point of eating it in Japan. It was almost full, but they carefully read the timing and served us before we even had to call out. They casually let us know when a staff member would come next, so we could wait at ease. And when my companion splashed tategi on their clothes and was wiping it with a wet towel, a staff member brought a wet towel with detergent on it. Close to the authentic taste, with hospitality unique to Japan — very satisfied. I'll definitely go again! Thank you for the meal.
