I was looking for somewhere to have dinner in 神楽坂 and happened to walk into this restaurant. What a lucky find. It helped that there was a menu outside, though it does feel a little intimidating to enter. The restaurant is small inside. I debated getting hokke but chose the tuna jaw meat set meal, while my friend had the dashimaki tamago set meal. We were surprised by the generous portions of both the tuna and dashimaki tamago. They were well seasoned and delicious. My friend and I laughed that this must be what getting more than your money's worth means.

A Japanese restaurant on 神楽坂通り that I used to visit occasionally. The prices are a little high for lunch, but the food is so good that it's worth more than what you pay. I ordered salt-grilled tuna jaw. It came as about three large pieces, a very generous and satisfying portion. The one drawback is that the lady working there is a little careless.

There are many restaurants that visitors drawn to 神楽坂 as a stylish neighborhood don't stop at, but that are loved by the people who work here. The Japanese restaurant 「清久仁」, right near 神楽坂 Station, is one of them. Above all, it's wonderful to be able to enjoy a grilled fish set meal. The tatami seating area has character and feels relaxing. The daily selection includes mackerel, salmon, horse mackerel, tuna jaw, and more, but my favorite is yellowtail teriyaki. Of course, I order salt-grilled new-season Pacific saury when it's available. Squeezing lemon onto piping-hot saury and savoring the best of autumn in Japan is wonderful.

My first visit was at lunchtime. My boss told me the fish dishes here were outstanding! So we came together. There are tables and a tatami area at the back, making the restaurant feel quite spacious. The entrance has an upscale design, so first-time visitors might feel a little nervous. But once inside, you're welcomed by friendly staff. I ordered the grilled fish set meal with mackerel. The mackerel was fluffy and tender, with just the right amount of fat! It had been a long time since I'd had grilled fish this delicious. The side dishes suited my tastes too! The miso soup also had a lovely dashi flavor. It might only apply at lunchtime, but be aware that it's cash only. Thank you for the meal.
