This legendary establishment has been a seafood staple, becoming a world-famous symbol of premium Japanese crab. The crab sashimi is a revelation, with a delicate, springy texture that melts in your mouth, while the charcoal-grilled legs fill the air with an irresistible aroma. What I love most is how the chefs let the ingredients shine; the seasoning is so perfectly balanced that you barely need any dipping sauce to enjoy the authentic taste. It’s a fantastic way to experience a full multi-course meal—from delicate appetizers to their signature porridge rice. The service is impeccably polite in true Japanese fashion, often in a cozy private room that makes the whole experience feel extra special. It’s a must-visit for any crab lover.
View on GoogleProbably my first ever crab-every-dish kinda meal. Didn't really expect that when I ordered the set. Service was good, but no five-stars because the ladies in kimono can be a little slow. Ambience is posh as the spice girl and crabs are fantastic, comes in all shapes and textures. Not forgetting forms (liquidy~ and solid). Bring your wallet. A big one.
View on GoogleLocated on the 4th floor, Kani Douraku is a great spot for an amazing crab set meal. They offer high-quality, well-crafted crab dishes in a unique atmosphere. If you don’t like crab, this isn’t the place for you. But if you do, it’s absolutely worth a visit. We made a reservation in advance, and I’d recommend doing the same—though when I went on a Wednesday around 11 AM, it wasn’t too busy. Service was spot on, and so was everything else. I’d definitely visit again.
