Delicious beef elegantly served and prepared. Little place with proper social distancing. Unfortunately it's cash only (seriously!??).

The beef tasted really really good. Staff was also really friendly. No English menu though.

A restaurant where you can have a luxurious wagyu rice box. You can enjoy changing the flavors as you eat, so a single serving feels like very good value. There was still a line after 14:00, though that may have been because some people were taking forever to eat. There are 8 seats, but they seem to admit only 4 parties at a time. The food arrived quickly after ordering, and they explained everything properly. If you order 竹 or above, the starter includes wagyu nigiri and yaki shigure, and sirloin is added to the rice box too, making it good value. I ordered 竹 this time, but it was quite heavy and left my stomach feeling weighed down. Still, being able to eat it as dashi chazuke and in other ways kept it from getting boring. By the way, the meat on the wagyu nigiri isn't that large, so I think it might taste better with slightly smaller rice portions and less vinegar in the sushi rice.

The interior captures the atmosphere of 神楽坂. I ordered the 松 option of 黒毛和牛贅沢重. The starters were yaki shigure miso and seared nigiri. The rice dish contained 黒毛和牛 shigureni, roast beef, sirloin, and specially selected loin. Everything was good quality, and at a price in the 1000-yen range, I think it's excellent value. The different ways to eat it are quite enjoyable too: as is, dipped in egg, or with Japanese dashi poured over it, hitsumabushi-style. You can also add as much nori and sesame as you like, tailoring it to your tastes. A restaurant that makes you feel indulged!

Honestly, the roast beef is nothing special, but the sirloin is delicious. Overall, the seasoning is light, the portions small, and it feels refined. It's a real shame that the female staff member is unfriendly and the service so lackluster. I think she should learn from the staff at さかや next door. I remember it being quite good on my previous visit, but I probably won't return.
