I recently visited "Fuku wa Uchi" in Akebonobashi and ordered their signature curry tsukemen (dipping noodles). Here is my report on the experience. The Food The curry tsukemen was a rich and flavorful bowl that immediately whet my appetite with its fragrant spices. The thick curry broth coated the noodles perfectly, creating a harmonious balance between the savory umami of the soup base and the complex spice profile. It was highly satisfying, and I enjoyed it down to the very last bite. The Atmosphere The restaurant features a compact counter-only layout. However, there is a certain level of tension in the atmosphere, which may make it a matter of personal preference regarding how comfortable one feels while dining. Overall, the quality of the curry tsukemen itself was excellent. For those looking for a unique and flavorful bowl of tsukemen in the Akebonobashi area, this restaurant is certainly a worthwhile option to consider.

Taste so good. No nothing, just food. If there are people waiting, you wait with with. One out one in. Order on the machine. Free drink water under the machine. Give the tickets to the chef. Noodles on the counter. Take them down yourself. Eat. Place the empty bowls back on the counter. Clean the table leave. Only 5/6 seats? I love this minimalism style. (My bf had to sit outside when I was eating, since he didn’t want to eat, he shouldn’t take a seat.

I've been coming here for years, excellent service and food with a unique flavour. All my favorite parts of delicious ramen and tsukenem in one place!

My husband and I were here on vacation and he found this restaurant and it’s the perfect example of how local places are always the best and more often than not the most unassuming looking. This is genuinely the best ramen I had on the trip and a very unique experience! It is cash only (so be sure to come prepared) and there is a limited quantity of supplies so the chef will let the line outside know when he has to cut off the line for the day.

Delicious tsukemen, some of the best I've had in Japan. Low-frills atmosphere but that's okay - you're just there for the food. Counter only seats 5, but it was empty when I arrived (lucked out since 3 others arrived soon thereafter). The spicy tsukemen was truly delicious - the dipping broth had a depth of flavor I've not often experienced. What's really nice is that the master gives you an option of either 200 or 300 grams of noodles, depending on how hungry you are. I would recommend 300 grams, since then you don't have to order kaedama later!
