We had 2 fried noodles and a fried mix vegetable. All 3 were soaking in oil, hardly any visible meat. Cabbage was hard & raw. Disappointing meal for 3500 yen.

The two of us visited around 8 p.m. on Saturday. True to its name, this place serves ordinary, home-style food without trying to be flashy. It's nice that it's simply delicious rather than oddly distinctive. We ordered various dishes, including bang bang chicken, shrimp, chinjao rosu, mapo tofu, and crab fried rice, and had a few drinks, all for exactly 1万円 for two, a fair price. The pot of pu-erh tea that seemed to never run out was GOOD too.

Turn from Karukozaka into Kagurazaka Nakadori, and it's in the center of this area where, for some reason, Chinese restaurants are unusually concentrated. Cheap and delicious, with value that's on another level for a Kagurazaka location, which I really appreciate. We ordered the 8-dish course with 2.5 hours of all-you-can-drink. The 2.5-hour duration is wonderfully generous and just right. Shaoxing wine is included too. The course was: ・Assorted two appetizers ・Ebi chili ・Black-vinegar sweet-and-sour pork ・Stir-fried vegetables and meat ・Mixed-filling spring rolls ・Seafood fried rice ・Shumai ・Dessert Everything was delicious. The rice in the fried rice was moist, but each grain was properly coated in oil, giving it a separated-grain mouthfeel. The saltiness, rice, and Chinese soup flavors stood out, tasting like fried rice from a Chinese cuisine restaurant rather than a neighborhood Japanese-Chinese place. It came at the end, but it was so good I couldn't help overeating. The staff were cheerful and kind, and above all, their proactive attentiveness and consideration toward us were wonderful.
