A must visit in Shinjuku 1-chome. While the iberico pork is probably not the best for steak - a bit too fatty even though I love the taste, the real star here is Iberya healthy salad. Highly recommended!

The food is not good. The steak was extremely chewy and was not properly seasoned.

Visited with friends on a reserved ¥3850 course including a toast drink. The 1st floor seems to be the kitchen, reception, and register, with seating on the 2nd floor. The wooden atmosphere is cute. A small place with a few tables and a counter. Perhaps because the seats are close together, a staff member slipped while serving and I got the toast wine poured over my head. My smartphone got soaked too. Luckily I was wearing black and it wasn't red wine, but.. if I'd been on a date in white clothes it would have been a disaster. They did apologize, and mistakes happen, but since this was a celebration, the toast mood was ruined right at the start and I felt a little disappointed. The otoshi was crackers with tuna mayo and baguette Salad: choice of Cobb salad or Caesar salad. I chose the Cobb salad, but for a Cobb salad it had no egg, bacon, or chicken, which was a little disappointing. 5-kind prosciutto platter: each had a different taste and aroma, enjoyable. The saltiness was mild and easy to eat Shrimp ajillo: the shrimp were plump and delicious. I ordered an extra baguette for ¥300 and dipped it in the oil. Potatoes: probably the most delicious item on the course menu. Soaked with lots of butter. Main: choice of prosciutto pizza or pasta I ordered the prosciutto pizza. The combination of raw egg and lightly salted prosciutto was delicious. The dough was moist and chewy, but personally I'd prefer it a bit crispier. Steak: the meat was tough and dry, and with only a balsamic vinegar sauce it had no flavor.. I didn't find it tasty. It would be better if they adjusted the cooking, like giving it more char or making it rarer, or served it with condiments such as salt or wasabi. Dessert: it was supposed to come with ice cream but it wasn't served. My friend had ordered a surprise dessert plate and we were full, so we didn't particularly chase it up… Each of us had 1 drink besides the toast drink, and the total for 3 people was a little over ¥15000. There were some tasty dishes, but since there are plenty of other Spanish bars and Italian places that feature prosciutto, looking back on it overall I don't think I'll return.
