I was looking for a place to grab a light bite when I came across a restaurant called “Honjin.” “Honjin” was a decent soba shop. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which I didn’t think I’d see in Japan. Anyway, everything was pretty good. Thanks.
View on GoogleA standing noodle restaurant at the east exit of Shinjuku Station. It has been in business for a long time, along with the beer bar next door. They have a wide variety of seasonal menu items, and today I had cold white sesame tantan-soba. The richness of sesame is characteristic of this cool, summery dish.
View on GoogleVery depressing atmosphere... just 2 people there (one sleeping)... inside shinjuku station! I hate to waste money, but I had to leave it. I ordered tempura soba - it was all awful, so I just left.
