Authentic, with good ingredients and broth.
View on GoogleI ordered spicy/numb as recommended. The stimulation is solid but not too strong, and it was easy to eat with moderate spiciness and numbness. It was convenient because there is a set menu with predetermined contents, rather than a type where you choose all the ingredients yourself. It won't be more expensive than expected because of choosing too much, and ordering is easy. This time I ordered Mala Tang and rice. Both were at a temperature that could be eaten immediately rather than hot, and in that respect it was easy to eat. However, I think Mala Tang could have come out in a slightly hotter state. While basing on the set, toppings can be added one by one, so it is easy to adjust to your preference. Mala Tang starts from 890 yen, and I think it is a price range that is easy to use for daily use.
View on GooglePlanning lunch at "Mala Tang HOMURA" within walking distance from Higashi-Shinjuku Station. Some photos I saw on Google Maps looked too delicious, and I had high expectations especially for the exquisite balance where spiciness and umami intersect. I really wanted to try "the depth of umami hidden in this spiciness", so I rushed there on Tuesday at 11:50, but unfortunately I couldn't enter because it wasn't open yet, so this time I finished it at another store. A good location near the station, and the appetizing aroma and spiciness conveyed from the photo are irresistible charms. If I could taste the deliciousness of that photo on the spot, it would surely be the best lunch experience. Next time I will check the opening time properly and enjoy this superb umami and spiciness fully. It is a store I am looking forward to revenge.
View on GoogleI like Mala Tang and went to various places alone, but I am completely addicted to this and come often. The reasons Not only delicious, ・Easy for women to enter alone ・The store is clean ・I am happy to be able to choose after knowing the amount of the menu I want to eat because I am not good at selling by weight ・Toppings can also be chosen slowly and enjoy customization ・Anyway, all soups are delicious. There is richness and I can drink it all ・Variations of noodles, ingredients, spiciness and numbness are abundant and not boring (no extra charge for any spiciness or numbness) Anyway, if the soup which is the core of Mala Tang is delicious, I want to eat it again. I always make it spicy, but I would be happy if tomato soup came out as a limited edition someday.
View on GoogleI have walked around various Mala Tang stores but this is the most delicious! The soup was delicious. I ordered seafood, but the scallops were large and soft, and the shrimp were also plump. I also added pork as a topping but it was soft. Mala rice was also delicious with minced meat that was strongly seasoned. It seems there is a set menu, but it seems there is a way to order to choose soup and toppings from scratch, so I will try ordering there next time.
