While on my month long journey through Japan I promised my father I would swing by here and pick him up a set of his choice. Initially, the service was a bit cold. No greetings, no acknowledgement, pretty much nothing. That’s OK for the most part, I’m sure not many gaijin roll through here on a day to day basis. However, once they realized I actually meant to be there the service was great. I assume they thought I was lost initially. I was able to purchase the 10 piece Hayabusa set as well as a lovely mug for my father. The store is truly a train lovers dream. They have one of the most elaborate N scale layouts I have ever seen. I greatly appreciate them showing the functionality of the trains I purchased, as well as the gift wrap. I’m sure they’re inundated with tourists rolling through not understanding where they are, but it would have been a better experience if the perceived customer service was a bit better. I’d be crushed if my father was with me and we were treated in such a way. Sometimes that foreigner walking through your door has dreamt of visiting this store for a decade.

Wonderful experience with fabulous displays and public layouts to test your new train. Disabled access with clean facilities and a nice spot to sit for the partners. Prices are very comparable to other outlets. Too many trains to purchase.

An amazing precision train model showroom and showcase. You can purchase an item for 500 yen (about 3$ in today’s dollars) and then show receipt upstairs to control a train yourself. Kids and adults love it.

Loved it, we enjoyed walking through the store seeing all the trains running on their 1st and 2nd floor layouts. If you buy a train or anything over a certain amount they will let you run it or you can use one of their loaner trains on the upstairs layout. Easily spent hours here.

It’s a great place to check out model trains, they have a great layout, lots of parts and variety of N scale models both Japanese and foreign. The price may not be the lowest, but it’s a cool place to hang out, especially on a hot summer day.
