Real itamae sushi for a great price (lunchtime)
View on GoogleThe head chef is quiet, but the food is superb! You can fully appreciate a craftsman's skill. I had the omakase course, and everything was delicious. Apparently, the chef goes diving in the sea himself on weekends to gather wakame and fish. Even the wakame served on the side has a lovely firm texture and tastes delicious. And the sweet potato ice cream for dessert is homemade, too. Its gentle sweetness blends with the rich cream flavor, and that alone is worth trying! I'll probably keep coming here.
View on GoogleFrom the Shinjuku O-Guard intersection, turn into the street in front of すき家, and you'll find this somewhat hidden sushi restaurant on the right, past the park. There's a caricature of the head chef on the front wall.(It really looks like him! Who drew it?)A huge preserved real 伊勢海老 is displayed on the wall, and there's an English menu, too. Besides sushi, they also have fugu courses. With a budget of about 8000〜10000 yen per person, you should be able to have a satisfying meal. And the sushi here is truly delicious—everyone I bring loves it! Personally, my absolute favorites are that moving kuruma ebi, akami, hotate, uni, and anago! I'd recommend this place to anyone. Taking value for money into account, too!
View on GoogleWe used it for our office year-end party. The building and facilities were old, but the tatami seating had sunken heated tables, so our feet stayed warm and we were comfortable. The fugu course was very good, and the sushi we ordered separately was delicious, too. I think it's just right for small gatherings.

When I entered, a chef who seemed to be the owner was making sushi at the counter's fish preparation area. The counter had a lovely atmosphere I ordered nigiri sushi Matsu for 1500 yen(excluding tax) It included akami, shiromi, chutoro, hotate, ebi, ikura tamago, anago, makimono So the value for money was ◎ The chutoro had lovely fat ◎ Personally, the anago was the best. It's nice to be able to have lunch at an independent restaurant at this price!
