The ramen and tsukemen were both in large quantities, and the taste of shrimp sauce was quite unique. For ¥750-900, you can get a very fulfilling meal. Even in University lunch break, there are not too many people to the point of forming a line.

Delicious tsukemen, great value and generous noodle portions. I will definitely come back for the food. Service and atmosphere is nothing remarkable. The ticket machine didn’t take new 1000 yen bills but the owner provided old ones to use.

Friendly chef. I am a visitor and do not read nor speak Japanese. The chef showed me the system in his restaurant where you choose your item and pay at a "vending machine". The machine releases a ticket with your ordered items which you then present to the chef. I ordered buckwheat noodles with shrimp and fish flavored sauce served in a ceramic bowl. It was delicious! I love the flavor of the whole dried baby shrimps with crispy skin. Before eating, the chef told me to "mix the noodles" because sauce which initially settled at the bottom of the bowl. The sauce was made to perfection. The bowl also came with some slices of lotus root and pork. I will definitely come back to this restaurant during my brief visit to Waseda University.

極上海老つけ麺[中]900円 Free rice The shrimp flavor is weak. The taste is indistinct. The chashu is delicious. The medium 300g portion is easy to finish, but you get bored halfway through, so 400g would probably be tough. They don't ask whether you want rice, so you won't get it unless you say so. Some reviews said the staff had a bad attitude. It's not bad enough to deduct points, but they aren't friendly.
