Can across this restaurant while I’m staying at Keio plaza hotel. So I managed to make a reservation for the dinner next day. It’s a cozy and intimate restaurant with only about 10 seating. There are 2 counter chefs attending the front. The chef whom served us seems like a veteran, the sushi prep by him were tremendous. All fishes were fresh and tantalising without a doubt. However, what’s missing to perfection is the server who do not actually pour or refill your sake automatically vs what other restaurant are more attentive in this way. Price wise can be a little more lower will be better. Other than that, this restaurant is highly recommended!
View on GoogleWe were told this was one of Tokyo’s oldest and high-end sushi restaurants, so we had to give it a try. While the Ginza location was fully booked, we managed to secure a reservation at their Shinjuku branch. We liked the traditional Japanese touches: waitresses in kimonos, shoes off at the entrance, and a modern twist on tatami seating (no kneeling needed—you sit comfortably with leg space). We chose the 10-course omakase, but I felt they served more than that. Every dish was exquisitely presented and incredibly fresh. The balance of flavors was spot-on. My personal favorite was the squid—it literally melts in your mouth. The shrimp was also impressively fresh, and the miso soup, packed with clams, might be the best I’ve had. The meal ended with a smooth cup of matcha tea. All in all, it’s not just a dinner—it’s an experience. While some of the sushi I’ve had at Tsukiji might rival or even exceed the taste, the artistry and atmosphere here make it a memorable and worthwhile visit.
View on GoogleDecided to visit this restaurant based on an article I found online. Really glad we did as we had a wonderful experience. Had lunch and thought it was fantastic value for the amount of plates and quality of fish we received. There were also many options available for my father, who doesn’t enjoy raw seafood. The chef that served us (Watanabe) was super friendly and professional and was even able to communicate with us in English.
View on GoogleKyubey Keio Plaza Tokyo was recommended by the hotel where we stayed in our last visit to Tokyo; let me tell you that this was a great recommendation. Sushi was excellent, and the atmosphere and service were as well. We didn’t get to sit at the private tables, but if you make a reservation in advance, it probably will be worth it. This is a high-end restaurant, so plan accordingly. We didn’t mind because the experience was worth it. We definitely would be back if we were ever in Japan again.
