We went here for a business dinner, and I highly recommend it. The food was exceptional (the shellfish & mushroom appetiser is something I will think about for a long time), the service was perfect & the wine list was tightly edited but really well curated. We had a 4 different glasses of wine with each course, and they were well matched. I don’t know why it wasn’t busier?! It’s only a short walk from Kagurazaka station, and every single ingredient was super fresh & perfectly prepared. We had the ¥8,500 course option, and we also had 4 glasses of wine each. The bill was under ¥30,000 which is very reasonable considering the quality of the food & wine. Thank you for a great night. We will be back again.

View on GoogleThe starters were pickled olives, little Hokkaido corn cakes (blini? Is that what they're called?), wild boar bacon, and pickled beetroot. The onion blancmange was topped with cured ham and truffle olive oil. The truffle aroma and the ham's saltiness call for wine. Smoked salmon and scallops, gazpacho with eggplant🍆 sauce. Ayu confit. Yoghurt and cucumber sauce. Served with wheat risotto. I chose the fish: pan-seared sea bass with ratatouille sauce and grilled vegetables. I was told the summer venison was also tender and delicious. There were petits fours in addition to dessert. That made me happy. For the first time, I had honey added to my herbal tea. Its green colour became a slightly deeper yellow. We were given cake to take home as we left. Above all, the ayu was delicious, tender right down to its bones. The head's subtle bitterness paired with the crispy pâte filo made me happy. This time, I was moved, without exaggeration, by flavours I had never experienced before. I'm curious about the person making them. The restaurant itself isn't especially large, with about 20 seats apart from the private room, but the seating was spacious and stress-free. The dishes were explained carefully, and I felt they served every plate with confidence. It's a restaurant I very much want to visit again.
View on GoogleA French restaurant in a quiet spot one street off Kagurazaka. The exterior is lovely, and the calm atmosphere has just the right casual touch, making it comfortable. The interior is just the right size for enjoying a leisurely meal. This time I had the 6,000円 lunch course. Every dish was carefully prepared, highly satisfying in both appearance and flavour, and generously portioned. From the amuse-bouche to the petits fours, everything was refined, and the course felt very well put together. The beef cheeks braised in red wine were particularly memorable. The meat was meltingly tender and paired perfectly with the fragrant sauce. The bread was aromatic too, and it was lovely that even the little details tasted good. Even the full course is 8,800円 including tax, offering good value and a very satisfying meal (though the portions might feel slightly large). The staff's service was attentive and pleasant, and overall I found it a very well-balanced restaurant. The spacious setting also seems suitable for parties or exclusive hire. It's a favourite restaurant I've visited more than 5 times, and I intend to keep coming.
