An amazing insight into Japanese Drip coffee. Covert Coffee is located on level B1 and offers up speciality coffees from various parts of the world. Time and patience is what this place is about, with the team taking the time to explain and allow us to smell each of the coffee beans on offer. The coffee was served in traditional ceramic cutlery allowing you to savour the coffee flavors at different temperatures. This was truly a marvelous experience and the best drip coffee we've had on our travels.
View on GoogleI visited a number of the highest rated coffee roasters in Japan (and world) and I will put Covert Coffee very high on the list. If you enjoy specialty coffee, they are worth visiting if you're near by. The guided experience and knowledge was impressive. They roast in small batches, so it's very fresh and different beans are always in rotation. In watching the staff, you can tell they are dedicated to the craft and always trying to improve. I'm excited to see them talked about more in the craft coffee world!
View on GoogleGreat coffee spot in Shinjuku with an excellent selection of beans, mainly focused on light roasts. The staff are friendly and can recommend beans based on your taste preferences, which is really helpful. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. A lovely place to enjoy good coffee in a busy area.
View on GoogleWonderful cup of coffee. About 10 different varieties to choose from. Personal experience with the barista, opted with the Kenyan nitrogen washed per her recommendation. Great aroma, taste, and mouthfeel. A bit expensive, but definitely worth a trip if you love a well made pour-over. In the B1 floor of the building.
