It's sooo perfect to start your day slowly and calmly by taking breakfast at this cafe. The food quality is excellence, especially the potato salad. The strawberry jam also feel fresh and not artificial. The staff also so kind and thoughtfull. Note: people are allowed to smoke inside so be aware of that.
View on GoogleI visited this place in December 2024. The food was good, and I even enjoyed the smell of cigarettes (I haven’t smoked for three years now). The coffee was great, but the most outstanding part was the staff member who served my table. She spoke fluent English, recognised my Aussie/Kiwi accent, and had a friendly chat with me. When she guessed where I had studied, she smiled and said, “I knew it!” — that small moment made me feel very relaxed. It was probably the most relaxing place I visited during my two-week trip. I only discovered this place on my last day in Tokyo, so I didn’t have time to visit again, but I hope it’s still there when I return:))
View on GoogleExcellent old school coffee shop. Great coffee, great light sandwiches in a step back in time decor. Smoking is allowed, which I didn't have an issue with. Kinda brought back memories. Very reasonable prices, and good prompt service. Visit here for a truly Japanese experience.
View on GoogleCan smoke inside. Food and drinks are of a quality to be expected from a place such as this. But the atmosphere is so good, that it’s hard to complain. 1950 jazz music, red velvet sofas, wooden panelling yellowed from the cigarette smoke, warm light from train station like lamps, people smoking and reading, low voiced conversations. Simply put — a place where you want to stay for a long time.
View on GoogleOld school cafe where smoking is allowed. I know some people are turned off by this, so know that going in. They have a breakfast set with toast, hard boiled egg, and coffee for 650 yen-ish. Coffee was good and service was friendly. Open early and quite a few people there in the morning. Nice little spot.
