Food was delicious. The staff were helpful. Not too busy. Clean and good atmosphere. Amazing meal for a first meal in Japan.
View on GoogleA cost-effective lunch. Sophisticated taste
View on GoogleAuthentic mapo tofu with a powerful Sichuan pepper kick, delivering plenty of tingling heat and umami from the very first bite! It's not just spicy but rich too, making you keep eating more rice. Lunch is generously portioned, leaving you full and completely satisfied. Recommended for anyone who wants a hearty meal too. It was the kind of place that makes you want to come back for more!
View on GoogleI've visited many times for lunch. It's popular, so there's a line at peak times. There are about 5 lunch options, all 1,320円 including tax. You can pay not only with cash but also with electronic payment methods such as PayPay. This place specializes in mapo tofu, but I ordered something else for a change. I tried the spicy flat noodles, which turned out to be knife-cut noodles. Quite spicy, but delicious. Everything I eat here is always good. By the way, every lunch option comes with a free half portion of fried rice or almond pudding. Since all the main dishes are huge, I chose almond pudding. It helped soothe the heat. I'll return when I'm in the mood for hearty Chinese food. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleI went to 峨嵋山 in Yotsuya-sanchome. An acquaintance had recommended it, saying, “This place is delicious,” so it was one of the restaurants I'd been curious about for a long time. From 11:00〜14:00, all lunch menu items are 1,320円. Another nice bonus is that a large serving of rice is free. There were plenty of other tempting dishes, but since it was my first visit, I ordered the 四川麻婆豆腐定食 set. You can choose from 4 spice levels, starting at normal. I like spicy food but don't handle it especially well, so I chose “normal,” but it certainly lived up to being Sichuan. It had definite heat and numbing spice, giving it an authentic feel. For anyone wanting more numbing spice, Sichuan pepper was also available on the table. The restaurant was nearly full, but I timed it well and got in without waiting. It was lively without feeling cramped. Above all, the mapo tofu was truly delicious. It wasn't just spicy; the balance with the umami was wonderful, the kind that makes you unable to stop eating rice. This is a place I'd definitely like to visit for dinner as well as lunch. If you're looking for Sichuan food in Yotsuya-sanchome, I'd highly recommend it.
