Came with a sleeping baby in a stroller. They refused to let me in, saying the place is full. I looked around, plenty of empty tables. What a disgrace!

This cafe was perfect. Cozy yet modern and clean atmosphere, quiet and relaxing but friendly feeling. The Mocha Latte was delicious and the Basque cake was the best one I have ever tried. The waitresses were also very kind and attentive. Great place to come relax or talk with your girl friends!

First visit to "CAFE ZUKKE" in Shinjuku-sanchome. I'd been curious about it for a while, and when I heard they'd released an American cherry French toast, I went✨️ I booked for 13:00 on a Saturday and the place was almost full. Reservations are recommended on weekends! The nicely browned French toast was fragrant on the outside and fluffy inside. On top were custard whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. It went perfectly with the sweet-tart raspberry jam♡ There were more American cherries than I'd imagined, and they matched the rich sweetness of the ice cream and custard — delicious. This time I came for the French toast, but the pasta looked tasty too, so I'd like to come for a meal as well◎ The interior has a calm atmosphere lined with antique-style furniture, and I was able to relax and take my time. Thank you for the meal✨️ ⋆┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋆ ✎ menu ・American cherry French toast ¥1280 ・Relax Rose Blend ¥680 ⋆┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋆

A café in the Shinjuku area where you can enjoy seasonal sweets. Its appeal is spring-like menu items made with sakura and strawberries. I visited alone just before 15:30 on a weekday. It's a few minutes' walk from the nearest station, Shinjuku-sanchome. There was no line; inside there are sofa seats and counter seats, used mainly by small groups. There was some conversation, but the atmosphere was relatively calm. Since it's popular, reservations are recommended on weekends, and even on weekdays it can apparently be full depending on timing. I ordered the strawberry French toast (¥1,280), sakura cheese terrine (¥950), and black soybean kinako with golden hojicha (¥680). The sakura cheese terrine had a smooth texture and a gentle finish with a faint sakura aroma. Among sakura sweets, which can easily taste overpowering, this one came across as refined and easy to eat. The strawberry French toast was crisp and fragrant on the surface and moist inside. The strawberries' tartness cut nicely through the sweetness, so it stayed well balanced to the last bite. The black soybean kinako with golden hojicha is a drink that spreads a toasty aroma and gentle sweetness, and it pairs well with the sweets. It's inside a building and a little hard to find, but that makes it a calm space to spend time in. They also carefully checked the serving timing in advance — attentive service. A place I recommend when you want to leisurely enjoy seasonal sweets.
