I tried butter tteok for the first time here, and it was amazing even though it was cold! I didn’t have high hopes as I thought it wouldn’t taste good left out, but it was really good! I would definitely come back to eat it if I didn’t have the rest of Tokyo to explode within my limited time. Really good selection of Korean desserts! The texture of the butter tteok was so good, really mochi like on the inside and super crunchy on the outside, just as I like!

We were walking around after lunch and stumbled upon this place. The moment we walked into the café, my first thought was wow, what a cute spot! Even the donuts were decorated so adorably—I wanted to try them all. I picked a donut and grabbed a few of the pre-packaged pastries. After the first bite of the donut, it just wasn’t for me. It was very dense, more of a cake-style donut, which I personally don’t love—but I’m sure others who enjoy that style would like it. I’d still come back though! The place is just too cute, and I’d love to try some of the items on their menu next time.

This is a financier shop. It’s about a 10- to 15-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station. They sell “Donanche,” a donut-shaped financier. It looks like you choose your items using the trays and tongs near the entrance. Donanche comes in about 10 different flavors. There were many seasonal varieties, and the designs were so cute! 😍 You can eat in on the second floor. This time, I tried the items listed below. Both had a very moist texture and were delicious! ♪ * Donan Yakka The top layer was yakka, a traditional Korean sweet, and the bottom layer was a financier. The yakka had a dense, chewy texture with a strong cinnamon aroma—it was very satisfying to eat! * Donan Chocolate Mint The top layer was mint chocolate, and the bottom layer was chocolate-flavored batter. I could enjoy the refreshing mint flavor alongside the rich chocolate. It was decorated with heart-shaped chocolates and bear-shaped cookies, making it look adorable. On a different visit, I tried the sesame and Lotus-flavored Donanche. I highly recommend these as well!

I rarely write reviews, but I felt quite disappointed today. I made the effort to come all the way back here for the second time because last week I regretted buying only one, because it was so delicious Today I came again to buy again, and even brought my friend along because I genuinely thought it was that good However, I was honestly disappointed. For some reason, the filling was very salty for a dessert. At first, I thought maybe the mochi itself was salty, but it turned out the filling was the part that tasted salty I really hope this can be improved. It’s such a shame because out of so many Dubai chewy sellers in Shin-Okubo, but I chose to come back here especially to enjoy it again, but unfortunately, the taste was not the same as before 😭

Nice atmosphere and a wide variety on the menu. I had a carrot cake, a Dubai chocolate financier, and a hot Americano. Everything was pretty good. The cake was quite expensive but also quite big and filling. The only thing I wished was that the staff had informed me about the campaign they had going on when I visited.
