This is one of those places so good that I want to gate-keep. The restaurant is run by two lovely gentlemen, who are so passionate about what they do. Be sure to grab a counter seat because you can see the chef masterfully cook your food right in front of you, and I’ve enjoyed so many fun conversations with them, talking about random things but also sharing our passion for food. The chef spent 10 years in Italy, and is super knowledgeable about the cuisine. It’s such a unique culinary experience, not just eating but also learning so much about what you’re eating. Generally you can never go wrong with the chef’s recommendations. They change the menu seasonally to get the freshest ingredients, so don’t hesitate to ask. My favorites are probably the seasonal pastas, and as other reviews mentioned the liver is a must try if they have it in stock. Also always end the meal with their tiramisu - it’s the best tiramisu I had in my life. They are super friendly to foreigners and can speak some English, so don’t hesitate to come try this place out if you’re in the area! I swear they’d be so much more popular if they’re in a busier area.

Recommended by a local friend. Ended up being one of our surprise favorites in Japan. You can tell it’s a locals’ spot. Just two people running the whole show — one greeting, serving, and helping in the prep area, and the other, the main chef, who our friend said spent time training in Italy. We sat at the counter and got to interact with him throughout the meal. Just go with their recommendations. We started with the signature appetizer and followed with the 40-day aged steak for two. I was already full, but couldn’t resist the bolognese and tiramisu to finish. No regrets. When we come back to Japan, this will be one of the first places we revisit.

Very good. We felt like having a simple dinner who ended up tasting really good. I rarely get exited by a mixed salad but they managed to put a twist and it was delicious, the bruschetta was original and tasty and the spaghetti Bolognese was simply amazing, the portions are small so we ordered a second round. They recommended white and red wines by the glass and they were both excellent. I highly recommend giving them a try. We will surely go back on a next visit to this area of Tokyo. The service and hospitality was warm and personal. Great guys

What a good time! Chefs really have a passion for food and it shows. If you’re not sure what to get, let them decide for you! Heads up: They have two types of courses or an la carte menu. If you want to go with the course, all members in your party need to order the same course. You can’t mix courses. They can make small tweaks on request! A la carte can be split into however many people are in your party too. This place is small but try to get a counter table seat. Watching them do their thing in the kitchen is part of the experience! If you like a certain dish, be sure to let the chef know! They seem to really love the feedback!
