WORST RESTAURANT EVER IN SHINJUKU!!!! I’ve visited many restaurants while traveling in Shinjuku, and this was by far the worst dining experience. First, the service was terrible. When we entered, no one greeted us or showed us to a table. We were left standing there until I finally asked for help. The owner simply pointed and said, “Over there.” They dropped the menu on the table without any explanation and immediately walked away to another table. It felt very rude and unwelcoming. The dish shown in the photo was the daily special, but it had a strong fishy smell and was not enjoyable to eat at all. The owner appears to speak English, but it seemed like they were only friendly to Western tourists. In contrast, Asian customers—and especially other non-Western visitors—were treated much less warmly. The difference in attitude was very noticeable. This was a very disappointing experience, and I would not return or recommend this restaurant.

Good good. I had pasta with mushrooms and then cheesecake for desert. My partner had beef and apple pie and loved it. I’m Australian and don’t know much Japanese though I used the basics. I would have liked to feel a little more welcomed

Omg the workers were so rude. Immediately when I walked in it seemed like I was unwelcome. Definitely got a racist vibe from this place. And after I ordered I asked for a glass of water and the male waiter literally rolled his eyes and sighed. Like is this how people treat their customers? And he literally was coughing and not covering his mouth. While serving people food. It was completely unsanitary. And the food was bland. Definitely not worth it for this terrible experience. Will not go back. Don’t recommend anyone visit this place.

DO NOT go to this restaurant. The male worker at the front is RACIST. I asked for water and he rolled his eyes and coughed in my face. I ordered a meal to go and asked for two sets of chopsticks and he threw them on the counter. When we were leaving he walked behind us out the door and there was another customer outside that the male worker said something to in his language and they both started laughing hysterically. Very poor service from the male worker.

DO NOT GO to this restaurant. The male staff attitude was very unpleasant and a little scary. He coughed in my face twice and didn’t cover his mouth. We asked for water and the male worker gave us a look that made us regret walking into this establishment. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money at this restaurant!!!
