A Thai restaurant tucked away in a small alley. *Lunch Set (Pad Thai) 1,050yen You can choose from several main dishes for the lunch set, which comes with a salad, soup, and dessert. The dessert had a flavor I’d never tried before and wasn’t really to my taste. The Pad Thai was flavorful, delicious, and quite filling, so I think it would be especially satisfying for men. I couldn’t finish so I asked for a takeaway container, but it cost 200yen. I’ve never seen such an expensive takeaway container before, so I decided to leave the leftovers. The staff tend to show it on their faces when they don’t understand Japanese, which can come across as a “What are you talking about?” attitude.

We were tired of eating sushi and ramen and wanted to try something else. Found this place and give it a try. We had the chicken with rice and curry. The chicken was a bit dry and the curry was OK.

We had a nice dinner: for two people we’ve paid around ¥6,000 and got out full (we were famished tbh). The food is delicious, our fave was spicy ika ❤️ can recommend that one. Tom Yan is a bit mild, but we are both fans of quite hot food. The food comes out fast and the service is great. Pity the place was out of Spy.

We asked for the commonly ordered items to be on the safe side since we were tired from walking all day. That approach paid off quite well for two reasons. First, I forgot momentarily how exhausted I was thanks to the Pad Thai. It was scrumptious and had all the ingredients I expected to see. Second, the highlight of our dinner was the Prawn Red Curry. The curry itself was so good I was tempted to ask the kind Thai staff if I could buy a liter of it for take out. The curry of the Green Curry Chicken paled in comparison though. But that wouldn’t stop us from returning to this Thai Select recipient and go on a gastronomic ride with their expansive menu.

Had the lunch specials on a Friday. Had the thai version of hainanese chicken rice and wow, not bad, in fact, very delicious! The chicken was succulent, the rice was well flavoured, the sauce had a slight but good amount of kick to it. The meal came with a small side of cabbage with a sauce, chicken soup, and coconut sago dessert. Absolutely delicious and super cheap, probably one of the cheapest meals we had the entire trip. ¥1000 for lunch special
