A small, cramped shop selling vegetables plus side dishes and bento. It's at the intersection of Meiji-dori and Okubo-dori. The receipt says 『旬やおや』. I go shopping there regularly, about once every 10 days. I've been going for several years. Anyway, the vegetables, fruit, side dishes, and bento are all cheap. It's not a case of cheap and bad; the contents are decent too. The shop is run by Asian people, and the flavors are Asian-style too. The side dishes' seasoning feels a bit strong. Good as snacks with drinks. Vegetables and fruit are in a low price range, and you can find bargains. The shop is small, so the range of items is limited and the staple products are fixed. So if you go too often, you'll get bored. When I dropped by in the evening, the bento and side dishes happened to be half price, super cheap. Side dishes @270 yen (tax incl.), and buying 2 still came to 270 yen. Perfect for adding a side dish. Simmered daikon hs regular price 250 yen → half price in the evening, and with this many ingredients it's only 125 yen! The popular kiriboshi daikon 250 yen and simmered hijiki 250 yen sell out early. The nira egg stir-fry 299 yen was decent in both taste and quantity.

It was a big help during my business trip. I visited around 18:00 in the evening. I bought a salmon fry bento with tartar sauce, a mackerel teriyaki bento, a salmon bento, and so on, each including kiriboshi daikon, pickles, and karaage, or half a croquette. The price shown was 399 yen, but a discount was applied at checkout, so it was 300 yen. The taste was good. Besides these, there were hamburg bento, karaage bento, chuka-don, and others, though it varied depending on the ingredients available that day. Personally, I was satisfied.

The vegetables are cheap, and the side dishes and bento are cheap too. The lineup makes you feel like you're on a little trip abroad. The listless service from the foreign staff is also kind of nice・・・。

Almost everyone who sees the vegetables lined up at the storefront says, "So cheap!" 3 very large onions for 100 yen, 6 white mushrooms for 100 yen
