When wandering in Shinjuku, I passed by 175° DENO randomly. Since the sign in front of the place showed that they have "soupless Tantanmen" I went in. Soupless Tantanmen are Tantanmen (spicy Ramen) without soup. They come with tasty oil at the bottom, vegetables and minced meat as toppings. They also have other ramen dishes. I chose "oomori", a bigger portion, for Yen 250. And I decided for normal spicyness - you can choose other grades. The portion was very big indeed. The noodles were great, a little broader than other ramen, and they tasted of miso and spicy oil. The minced meat added a roasted aroma The staff was easygoing, and tourist-friendly, bit I doubt they speak english (you can choose an English menu). 5 stars from me, because it's authentic and the food is great.

I finally visited 175°DENO Tantanmen TOKYO in Shinjuku, a place I'd been meaning to try. Known for its rich, spicy noodles, this shop offers bold flavors with customizable toppings and spice levels. I ordered the Ichinana Gorou, a Jiro-style bowl for 1,300 yen. Using the ticket machine, I chose “extra vegetables and garlic,” “normal fat,” and followed their recommendation of level 1 for both spiciness and numbness. Noodles ★★★★☆ Broth ★★★★☆ Ingredients ★★★★★ Service ★★★☆☆ TOTAL 4.0 1. Noodles The thick, chewy noodles are the highlight of this Jiro-style tantanmen. Perfectly coated in a rich sesame-based broth, they soak up the flavor beautifully. Every bite delivers a bold, satisfying punch with a subtle hint of spice and umami. 2. Soup and toppings The broth bursts with chili oil and creamy sesame flavor. I chose spice level 1, so it wasn’t too hot—but even at numbness level 1, the punch of Sichuan pepper was strong. If you’re sensitive to that tingling sensation, proceed with caution. 3. Pork and toppings overview A massive slice of tender chashu pork crowns the bowl, glistening with spicy oil. Alongside it are mountains of vegetables, garlic, minced meat, and fat. The sheer volume and visual impact promise a truly satisfying and intense dining experience. Next time, I’ll skip the extra garlic—it was a bit too much. I’d also like to try it without the numbing spice. Even at level 1, the shibire had a bold, lingering presence. This wasn’t just “tantanmen turned Jiro-style”—it was genuinely delicious and well-crafted. A memorable bowl with punch and depth.

We were here while in Japan back in October. The food was awesome. Nice thick noodles, delicious ground pork and nice and spicy broth. I ordered extra garlic and you could tell it was fresh. The staff, although limited in English, were great to deal with and we figured it out lol. Plus the ordering machine wasn't so bad once you got used to it. The staff were also working their butts off helping our group get their food. Great experience overall.

Ultra famous shop in Sapporo. They open a new branch shop with many counter seats. it's a shop where even one woman can enter easily. I would recommend it to those who like the taste of a system of numbness of pepper. Noodles are no soup, you can choose the toppings and adjust the amount of peppers.
