Tokyo International Gallery
Founded in 2019 with the mission of introducing internationally active artists and global approaches to Japan's insular art scene. We aim to re-examine the place of art in society, including the questions and expressions that arise from relationships such as environmental issues and urban visions, historical tradition and freedom of expression, the individual and the collective, the subjective and the objective, while also treating, without borders, perspectives unbound by conventional frameworks and subjects that have rarely been actively discussed until now, with the goal of exhibiting experimental works by artists of diverse character. TIG also places emphasis on international artists and is planning to exhibit artists' works not only in Tokyo but also overseas.…

Visited November 2022 An art gallery on the 2nd floor of TERRADA Art Complex II. When I visited, there was an exhibition by Kotao Tomozawa, and it was packed even though it was a weekday. The exhibition itself was probably the best thing I saw all day, but the big guy at the reception talked to me loudly without a mask, which really put me off.

View on GoogleOpen and airy, really nice. It's a bit far from the stations (Tennozu Isle, Shin-Bamba, Shinagawa), though.
