A standing soba shop right beside Nakanobu Station. When I visited around 13:30, they said there wasn't much tempura left. They still had kakiage, so I ordered Tendon set 700円 Paid in cash when the bowl arrived. The soba's dashi was good, but the noodles weren't great. The staff cafeteria in Osaka tastes better (((^^;) The kakiage rice bowl was delicious—the sweet sauce, kakiage, and rice went well together! The other tempura looked good too. I'd recommend the tempura over the udon or soba. Thanks for the meal!
View on GoogleNow that I'm a Kawasaki resident, I'll try writing this kind of review. Same as always. Tempura and egg udon was 550-. I wonder how much it was when I was a kid. Cash only, and no meal tickets. There are all kinds of tempura. You add them to udon or soba. At some point, they also started offering kishimen and thin noodles. I wonder where the guy who used to cook with tissue stuffed up his nose went.
View on GoogleThe homemade tempura is so appealing. They have kishimen as well as soba and udon. The broth has a wonderful, gentle dashi flavor, the croquette is fluffy, the noodle portions are large, and there's plenty of green onion. I'm curious about the other menu items too. The checkout is lively.
View on GoogleI visited around 11:30 on a weekday. It was almost full, and by the time I left, customers were waiting. I ordered the mini curry set with soba and squid-tentacle kakiage. Both the portion and flavor were excellent. I think many other customers were ordering curry sets too. A few were having just curry. I was very satisfied.
View on GoogleI had breakfast at a standing udon and soba shop at the station nearest my destination. The place was simple but lively, bustling with people before their commute. Those who seemed to be regulars made off-menu-style requests, such as extra green onions or swapping udon for kishimen, which made for an interesting atmosphere. One of the pleasures of these places is learning your own way of ordering after a few visits. Since this was my first time, I played it safe with kake udon. The gentle dashi broth was comforting in the morning. They also offer large portions, so I'd like to try that next time. Stopped by a standing-style udon and soba shop near my destination for breakfast. The small but lively place was bustling with people on their way to work. Regulars seemed to know the hidden tricks—some ordered extra green onions or swapped their udon for kishimen noodles, creating their own custom meals. These are the kinds of places where you have to visit a few times to learn the local style. Since it was my first visit, I played it safe with a simple kake-udon. The broth was light and comforting, perfect for a morning meal. They also offer large portions, which I’ll try next time.
