I love this amazing place. Heaven for all creatives. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you love paint and brushes you have to visit. Even better still do a workshop. I was visiting from Australia and I will return to Pigment Tokyo again asap. The highlight of my trip to Japan! 🦋❤️🦋

A beautifully designed store, the big draw being the wall of pigments. It’s primarily an art supply store selling high quality paints and brushes. I believe they also run workshops, there were some samples out on the table to try when we were there. It’s not a big store so unless you are wanting to buy paints or in the area, it’s not really worth a special trip just for the store. There is a no photos rule, I took mine from outside!

This art store is epic! They have the finest brushes, all of the pigments, and outstanding fine art supplies. Their workshops are fantastic. They teach them in both Japanese and English when they can. They have amazing knowledge and resources in all types of mediums. This was the highlight of my visit to Tokyo! Being able to take a class and shop for art materials at Pigment Tokyo was an amazing experience! Highly recommend!

Yes, I will add my redundant picture because Google has conditioned me to add pictures to accumulate points. I stayed nearby and before visiting this area of Tokyo, looked for interesting places. As a miniature painter with friends who also enjoy the hobby, this store intrigued me, though I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find anything explicitly miniature painting related here. Still, thanks to famously infallible AI, I came armed with a shortlist of brushes from the online store that I wanted to purchase. At first I was very hesitant. The online store is ginormous, with so many brushes for sale. The brick and mortar, however, was very modestly sized. I thought surely their online store was sourced from some warehouse, not this apparently capacity-limited space. An English speaking attendant asked if I needed help. I showed her the online store entries for the brushes I was interested in, and off she went, opening drawers and moving shelves in hidden nooks and crannies to find every single item I desired. They had it all. I had come prepared, however, if I had asked the attendant, "Could you recommend a few Japan-made brushes I would be unlikely to find in the US that would be good at painting miniature figures," as I did with AI, I wonder what her response would have been. An experiment for a return visit.
