I visited ai-san's solo exhibition. Schools of fish swimming in the sea seemed to float up inside the retro-feeling shop, and, as if rocked by the waves, it felt as pleasant as being in Hayama. I'd love to see the wonderful owner couple again.

There's lots of lovely tableware. The owner is also a really lovely woman. I previously bought a reversible plate, and this time I bought a blue cup, chopstick rests, and more. I'd like to buy rice bowls and such little by little too.

In a small, old two-story building, lots of tableware by artists was for sale. A lovely shop. There were even pieces by artists I'd never seen before. There were some pieces I really wanted, so... I'll be going again ❤️

A select shop in a renovated old building, lined with pottery and glass tableware of reliable quality chosen by the owner's eye, plus some clothing. A few times a year, they sell delicious sweets, vegetables, and fruits from distant regions made with carefully chosen ingredients, and about once a month, a cook well known in those circles comes to sell bento. Almost all information is posted on Instagram. The selection is consistently not decorative, but soft, simple, and sturdy. The price range for tableware is about the same as the online shop (tableware from a few thousand yen). Like other independent shops around here, there's an atmosphere where once you step in you can't leave empty-handed, so if you're curious about the shop, it might be best to take a peek during an event first.
