I visited Yakiniku Koyo near Osaki Station. The absolute must-try here is the Harami (skirt steak)—both the salted and sauce-marinated styles were wonderfully tender and flavorful! The Japchae was also delicious and highly recommended. We also enjoyed salted beef tongue, Kainomi, and finished with refreshing cold noodles. The staff were friendly, making it a great dining experience in Osaki.

September 2026 This is a renowned yakiniku restaurant in front of 大崎 station. Without drinking alcohol, it cost less than 8000円 per person. Among yakiniku restaurants you can currently enter without a reservation, I think this place ranks among the best for serving meat of this quality. The 上タン and 特選ハラミ in particular had such wonderful meat quality that I felt they were among the best even in Tokyo. The restaurant's original sauce also pairs extremely well with the meat, and I think it's very well perfected. Offal such as horumon was also exceptionally fresh with a firm bite, and was high quality too. The meat is cut very large. Even one serving seemed around 1.5〜2 times the size at a typical yakiniku restaurant, so I think you should be careful not to order too much. On the other hand, the service felt quite rushed. Because they turn tables over on a 90-minute limit, the foreign floor staff frequently check for empty plates and glasses and immediately clear them away. Even during the meal, it felt like our table was constantly being monitored, so it wasn't an atmosphere for enjoying a relaxed meal. Furthermore, as soon as we finished paying, the table's grill mesh was replaced with a new one and they began setting the table for the next customers. This made me feel urged to leave quickly even though I was still inside. I have no complaints about the meat quality, and the 上タン・特選ハラミ・ホルモン were especially satisfying. However, I think opinions will be sharply divided over the service focused on turnover under the 90-minute system. I highly recommend it if meat quality is your priority, but I don't think it's particularly suitable for people who want to enjoy yakiniku at a leisurely pace.

I finally went after being invited by an acquaintance who's a regular. The 上タン had the crisp texture I love! It was perhaps quite heavily salted. We had harami with both sauce and salt (up to 3 servings in total), and both were well seasoned and delicious. We also ordered namul, センマイ刺し, スタミナ (horumon mix), カイノミ, チャプチェ, カルビうどん, ユッケジャンうどん, and 冷麺. There were 6 of us, but we were absolutely stuffed. Everything tasted just as good as we'd hoped! A certain celebrity I love was in my line of sight the whole time, so I couldn't fully concentrate on the meal…
