A horse meat specialty restaurant in Gotanda. You can enjoy fresh horse meat in a homey, comfortable atmosphere. It has no gamey taste and is packed with umami, so you just keep eating. It goes perfectly with ice-cold beer, so good you'll want glass after glass. An appealing place you can drop by casually and will want to come back to soon.
View on GoogleFive of us guys had the course meal (with all-you-can-drink). Fresh basashi, horse-beef-pork hot pot, oden, and more, we were stuffed! Kiba's special original horse-beef-pork hot pot is a sukiyaki-style hot pot flavored with sesame oil, and we finished by adding rice to the pot. The all-you-can-drink has no time limit, which is great for people who drink a lot.
View on GoogleI go once a month, and the horse is delicious ❣️ You can have basashi from all different cuts and it's all delicious. Of course the soy sauce is from Kyushu. The tataki is delicious too. My top pick is the horse hamburger steak 💓 Tender and juicy ♪ Same goes for the horse menchi katsu ☝️ If you like basashi, give it a try at least once. Thank you so much! I'll be baaack 😊 I've added photos!
View on GoogleA restaurant with delicious horse meat. It's run by Osawa-san, formerly of Hikaru GENJI. Apparently the horse meat is sourced directly from Oita, and it's truly delicious. Apparently Osawa-san originally planned to open a yakiniku restaurant here, but after encountering this horse meat in Oita, fell in love with it and just had to introduce this horse meat! So Osawa-san persuaded people on all sides, which led to the opening of "Kiba." It opened during the COVID pandemic, but there's no question about how delicious it is. A recommended restaurant. ^_^
View on GoogleKiba, a horse meat restaurant in Gotanda produced by Mikio Osawa, formerly of Hikaru GENJI. Amazingly, today the door was open and they were doing lunch, so I nervously went in. It seems they used to do lunch service before, but these days they hardly ever do. The recommendation I'd heard was the all-you-can-eat karaage lunch for 800 yen, and apparently it's Kumamoto-style, eaten dipped in a spicy vinegar. But since I'd miraculously managed to get in, I had to have the horse meat shipped directly from Kumamoto Prefecture. In that case, the horse meat jū for 1500 yen. I ordered it thinking that with this I'd have no regrets. Let me get straight to the result. This was absolutely the right call! I've never had a horse meat jū like this anywhere else. The left half is yukhoe, the right half is basashi, and the seasoning has the sweetness and rich flavor of Kyushu soy sauce. This is seriously sooo good! Somebody, spread the word about this place~
