Highly recommend Hot Spoon 🥄 in Gotanda. The service is friendly and fast. I popped in for a quick meal (they have Japanese and English menus available) and enjoyed a delicious, cozy curry 🍛 meal. I ordered the '8 hour stewed beef tendon Curry's with small white rice and an extra soft boiled egg. You can choose additions to your meal (vegetables or egg, toppings) plus the portion size/amount of rice 🍚 you'd like depending on how hungry you are. You can choose your spice level from mild to extra spicy. I added an iced chai at the end to help with the spice. It was one of the best iced chais I have had in a long time - subtle, creamy and not too sweet. Would come here again! Oishiiii

Probably one of my favorite curries I've had so far, it comes with beef tendon simmered for hours and for rice, you can choose multi grain rice (jyukkokumai) or white rice. I do recommend the multi grain rice option as the chew goes very well with the curry!

I ordered takeout and was informed that I couldn't pay by card. By the time I went to withdraw cash, they had my order all ready when I had my money ready. 5/5 service and the food was beyond amazing. Super umami curry sauce and the meat was soft and the crust was perfectly crispy. I really appreciate that they made my order while I was withdrawing cash, even though I didnt't leave any down payment. If you are visiting Gotanda or staying at a hotel nearby please give this place a chance. You will not be disappointed.

Small shop with fewer than 10 tables. I came here craving curry. It’s not the typical sweet Japanese brown curry — instead it’s richer, denser, and more spice-forward, which my mom really liked 🌶️ The rice portion looks huge at first, but it pairs well with the curry and is easy to finish. The katsu was very good too 🥩 Overall, a solid experience, but I’m not sure I’d visit again.

Great curry place. I had a beef curry with vegetables and a big size rice for ¥946. Really affordable and delicious. They prepare and serve your meal really fast. They serve the curry pot boiling, so if you have problems with really hot food you may have to wait a bit before start eating. The taste is really good and intense. They cook the curry for 8 hours to get an amazing taste. Very cheap and way better taste than some curry chain restaurants. Friendly and professional staff. The menu has some parts in English (just letting you know if the dish has beef or chicken).
