A very fun experience and very lovely staff! The fishing was awesome and using bait made it very easy for anyone to try! The staff help you take pictures after you catch the fish or will beat a drum in celebration for you! Breaded and tempura were by far my favorite style to have the fish cooked and the French fries were like homefries but absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend and would come again!!

this restaurant is so much fun! we were able to fish for our own meal here at zauo. the waitress was super kind, attentive, and patient as we tried to do our best to catch a fish. we were able to pick how the fish would be served: all sashimi, all fried, or half and half. we went with half and half for our first fish and both were amazing, especially the presentation for the sashimi. this was such a unique way to spend a night. i highly recommend this place, especially if you have children, because all the kids we saw were having such a blast!

Food is pretty good for a themed restaurant albeit more expensive than comparable Izakaya, but at least the fish is very fresh and tasty. But the service was excellent, especially for our server, Miyu. She made our night with very attentive service, cheerful personality (which is rare in Japan in the service industry) and just all around great spirit. She made sure we had a memorable dinner the night before we fly home.

An absolute blast for the whole family! We visited the Meguro branch and the atmosphere was electric. Sitting on the giant boat and fishing right from our table was a highlight of our Tokyo trip. The kids caught a sea bream within 10 minutes, and the staff celebrated with a drum ceremony which was so much fun. We had half the fish as sashimi and the other half fried—incredibly fresh.Tip: Book in advance!

Super fun! You can fish for you dinner or order from their menu, or just get a net and choose your fish. Either way you get to eat. You can pick how you like it cooked. If you want to not fish you can just share with others.
