伝説のすた丼屋 戸越銀座店Densetsu No Sutadon'ya
"Densetsu no Sutadonya" offers a wide range of menu items that embody the founder's wish: "I want people to eat delicious food until they're full and keep going strong." The signature "Sutadon" is a bowl packed with stamina and volume, made by stir-frying pork belly in a secret garlic soy sauce passed down since the founding and serving it over a large helping of rice. Besides sutadon, we offer a variety of dishes, including a garlic-free ginger pork bowl, karaage, as well as set meals, curry, ramen, and abura soba. You can enjoy it on all kinds of occasions, for lunch, dinner, or a late-night meal, and it's also welcoming to women, customers with children, and families. "Densetsu n…

On the 29th of every month it's Meat Day and extra meat is free, so I visited "伝説のすた丼屋 戸越銀座店". I of course ordered the "すた丼 (890 yen)" with "extra meat". I asked to eat in, sat down and waited. They used to offer complimentary tea, but now the tea service has finally disappeared... After a little while the bowl arrived. The fatty sutadon was delicious. Adding garlic and doubanjiang gave it a nice change of flavor and made it taste even better. But the service just keeps getting worse, so I'll have to think about whether I go next time.
View on Google【Takeout specialty shop】Karaage combo tonteki-don【Eat-in available】 Visited Sat 2022/11/05 around 11am, accepts cash, credit cards, e-money, PayPay ① Karaage combo tonteki-don 1,140 yen ② Ordered extra rice 180 yen I meant to eat a sutadon, but ended up craving the karaage and tonteki-don 💧 All I can say is the punchy karaage is reliably, devilishly good! And the pork is moderately thick, tender and tasty♪ The sauce is much more sweet than salty... this'll wake you up~ The salted cabbage and shredded chili are nice accents♪ Next time it's definitely the double-double suta combo bowl with extra rice for 1,270 yen☆ That said, the problem is they don't have shops everywhere in Tokyo... If I want to eat slowly, thoroughly and heartily, I guess it'd be the Shibuya shop on my commuter pass route or the conveniently located Takadanobaba shop...
View on GoogleIt's a pork bowl shop. The "伝説のすた丼" that I hadn't seen around much lately. It seems it was originally takeout-only, but now they also do eat-in, with 4 counter seats. For eat-in, first tell the staff you're eating in, then buy the menu item you want as a bento at the ticket machine (since there's no eat-in option). Telling them in advance means it's served in a regular bowl with a tray and a glass of cold water. I ordered the limited-time gyutan and pork toro bowl. My colleague ordered the sutadon. Unlike past reviews, it wasn't particularly salty and the staff were polite. The meat was in small pieces but there was enough to cover the whole bowl, so I wasn't stuck with leftover plain rice. My colleague's sutadon was also nicely balanced. The portions are big, so I think it's a good choice when you want to really chow down.
View on GoogleI'd ordered the Sutadon a few times before, but they came out with a new menu item, buta-age (fried pork), so I tried it right away. I asked for regular size, but just like the Sutadon it's a huge portion. My appetite has been getting smaller lately, so I should have asked for mini. For women ordering, I recommend the mini. The volume is insane, but the seasoning is solid, and you can enjoy changing up the flavor with the sweet sauce and the wasabi tartar? so the rice goes down easily. Recommended for hungry men. When I got takeout today there was nobody there, but it seems you can eat in lately too.
View on GoogleI used them for takeout. The abura soba, which had been on the menu but wasn't available at this branch, can now be ordered, and since I'd been curious about it for ages, I ordered the "肉スタミナ油そば". But there was hardly any of the meat you see on their rice bowls, and both of the 2 I ordered were the same. It was different from the photo, which was a bit disappointing. Also, that day the staff member was running the shop alone and was so frantic they didn't even notice customers coming in. The bag was handed over already sealed, so I couldn't check the contents on the spot when picking it up.
