Nice and affordable Chinese restaurant, super popular and crowded

View on GoogleI found Yoshu Shonin in Gotanda for the first time in ages. It's probably been about 20 years. I remembered it being tasty, so I stopped by for lunch. The atmosphere was just as I remembered, but the menu had changed quite a bit. For a chain restaurant, you can feel their attention to detail. I got the recommended sanrattanmen (hot and sour noodles) and fried rice as a set. You could choose from several noodle types, and I picked the ryumen (thin noodles) I remembered eating before. The soup was delicious with a sharp spiciness and sourness, but the noodles were too soft. It seems to be how they're boiled, so it looks like you'd better not choose the thin noodles at this place. The soup was delicious. The fried rice also had a gentle flavor with good umami. The menu is extensive. It was tasty, so it made me want to try other dishes too. As for price, if you order a set, I think you should expect around 1,500 yen. Serving speed and customer service were neither good nor bad. The atmosphere nicely recreates the feel of a Chinese restaurant, which I think is good.
View on GoogleYou can fully enjoy authentic Chinese ramen. The soup and noodles are different from Japanese ramen, so you might be a bit thrown off. You can choose from 4 types of noodles, and it's fun to try various combinations to find your favorite Chinese ramen. Various cashless payment methods are also accepted.
View on GoogleI visited on a Sunday afternoon. It was less crowded than the Meguro main store, and there were many families with children. I had the chilled tantanmen. It was delicious. It's strange how the taste differs from store to store.
